Not really sure why I put this book off for soo long, but my friend read my favourite book so I read hers! And oh my goodness that was sooo good! The ending had me feeling so emotional! Hoping one day some aspects of this book will/can become reality! Definitely recommend this book!

ES UN EMBOLE.
Los capítulos son más largos que la 9 de Julio, cosa que me pone nerviosa. Llegó un punto en el que leí los capítulos por encima. Pero bueno, no es un mal libro.
A pesar de que es una linda historia, le doy dos estrellas porque me costó un mes leerlo de lo tedioso que se volvía al pasar los capítulos.

Alex and Henry have my whole heart and I love their little friend group that developed too! The characters felt real and were easy to become attached to. I also loved the humor in this book! It actually made me laugh at some parts, not that cringe-worthy humor in most romance books.

Alex has to be my favorite character and I love how Henry compliments him so well even with their opposite personalities. (I’m still mad at Henry for that one part about ghosting Alex and I understand he was trying to figure things out but so was Alex and that was no reason to just leave him in the dark) Anyway 😁
I love the incorporation of politics but at some parts it got boring. As an American I understood all the political things happening and was really hooked at first but then it eventually got boring. I was more excited about the little bits of romance and lost interest in parts where it would go on 20 pages about politics and campaigning. Because of this it was hard for me to get through for a bit and I was in a sort of reading slump. I’d say the last half of the book picks up and I was speed reading again wondering what would happen next!
Romance books are also hard for me to get into since I usually prefer fantasy. But this one has to be at the top of my list for best romance books I’ve read so far!
I also have to say I’m astonished by Casey McQuiston’s thought process going into the planning of this book. Politics are hard enough to understand but every detail was thought out and felt real. I love the re-imagined America with a first woman president of the United States! And of course her chaotic sexually confused bi son <33

I really love what Casey McQuiston is doing with their books and I’m glad they’re getting all the love and representation they deserve! :))

I can’t wait for the movie adaptation & definitely recommend! ...more

Did I read a different book than others? This was wayyyy overhyped. A lot of the first half I had to skim because it was so useless and boring😭I was told it was ENEMIES TO LOVERS? 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️they were enemies for a chapter maybe? And why is the book so long if they kiss in the first 100 pages? I’m so sad this wasn’t good because the potential was through the roof💀

Fun dialogue and unique characters but more often than not it feels cheesy. For a book wanting to break stereotypes it sure does depend alot on political stereotypes both in the US and UK. Would have given it 3 stars if it weren't for the fact that this book feels 120 pages too long. Also it's painfully obvious that an american wrote this book. ...more
