Take a grief-stricken veterinary student and add a depression-era circus - mix in a dwarf, an elephant and a lovely equestrian - and you have Water for Elephants. I read this book and loved it. I loved the love story. And the trials that he went through to get the love of his life. I can't imagine what people back then really went through. I loved the story. And I will probably re-read it.

This book has been on every must read list I've seen for months, so I figured it was time to stop procrastinating and get to it. I didn't have a real expectation for this book other than a love affair. I think it's a good thing I went in almost blindly.
