The story of HELA, the name of the cells from Hennrietta Lacks, was very interesting. Mostly for me the ethical portions regarding do we own the rights to our own body parts? We own are parts as long as they are connected, but do we own them once they are removed? There is so much fair and balanced information on this issues packed into this book, however I wished that it was more the focus of the book rather than all the side stories of the Lacks family.

Who would have thought a book about cells could be so interesting? I enjoyed reading the personal perspective of the family and pondering the science and ethics. Great read.
