What Members Thought


I think this is a great book for a younger crowd. Tolkein wrote this book like a bedtime story, and I had a difficult time getting through it because it was putting me to sleep! Other than that, there is no doubt that Tolkein did an amazing job creating the world of Middle Earth, but it just didn't hold my interest.

No Logo is taking me forever, interspersed with small amounts of the women travel anthology. I tried three times to read the Hobbit and never got more than 100 pgs through it. Don't know why really."

The Hobbit was a great and enjoyable read, I felt some parts were rushed but that's probably coming in to reading it with a head full of the films and the LOTR's books compared to it being a children's fantasy book. The characters were likeable and interesting and I found the plot to generally be a good pace. A great book and I want to read more of Tolkien's work.
