Do I really need to explain why this is a 5 star book? The last time I read it was at least 10 years ago, and I was surprised at how much I had forgotten, so in some ways it really was like reading it for the first time. Thorin Oakenshield's story stood out more this time and remains poignant. Again, I'm still impressed by how this book has stood the test of time and remains a classic, adventure, and high fantasy that manages to appeal to all readers. ...more
