This is an excellent book. While beeing a YA novel, it never gives you the feeling of patronizing or moralizing ( something YA literature does too often).
The characters are very fascinating, enjoyable and all a bit crazy. I was a tiny bit disappointed cause some lesser charcters were superficial, but that probably can’t be avoided.
The well written story is about a lot of little things and about some major themes, but kept me wanting to read on. Recommended for fans YA.

Čtení Fangirl jsem hodně dlouho odkládala, protože jsem na ni slyšela samou chválu a bála jsem se, že tuto knížku díky tomu budu mít moc vélké očekávání a budu zklamaná. Jsem ráda, že jsem se do ní nakonec pustila, protože ty pochvalné recenze, které jsem na ničetla a ódy, které jsem slyšela, jsou pravdivé. Tahle knížka se čte sama! Kdybych neměla nějaké povinnosti, tak ji zvládnu přečíst za jediný den a to není zrovna tenoučká knížečka. Muela jsem se spokojit s tím, že posledních 100 stran pros ...more

I really wish I could give this book more than five stars. I fell in love with it immediately and brought back so many memories of my love for Harry Potter and the brief time I got into writing my own fanfiction. I felt like really connected to all the characters and Cath reminds me a lot of myself. It's probably the first book that I've ever finished and wanted to start reading again immediately. ...more

This book took a bit of work to get into, I feel it had to much build. I was waiting for something more to happen, and was so happy when it finally did. Near the end I sped through the book, because the love story started going somewhere. If your looking for a love story then don't read this book, because in my opinion there isn't enough of it. ...more

I would give this book 3.5 stars if I could, but it is what it is. It's well written, adorable and a great summer vacation read. Subtle and nuanced it is not. I loved Eleanor and Park, and expected something similar, and this is just not as deep. ...more
