I loved this book. Rainbow Rowell's characters are real humans who make mistakes, and have good points and bad points, and make you care about them. They are thankfully lovable for reasons other than being impossibly good looking or rich. I loved Eleanor & Park enough that I wanted to read more by this author. I wasn't sure about this particular book since fan fiction is not something I have ever given a second thought to. However I think the book speaks about having a passion, and it just so ha ...more

Perfectly sweet story. I related to Cath and her anxiety, loved how realistic her interactions were and the love story was so cute. I felt like we could have had more about her parents and the ending felt like it was missing something. Nevertheless, it was very enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this book, but ultimately I was disappointed by the ending. It felt like there needed to be more. The writing is great, as usual from Rainbow Rowell. The characters are well developed. I am still mildly irritated by the Cather/Wren cutesy naming baloney, but what are you going to do? The imagery is totally solid and I could see a lot of the pieces of Cath in myself as a college freshman. This was a laugh out loud journey of a book. The characters are interesting and witty, the story lines entertaining and the writing was clever. I enjoyed the Simon Snow 'original' and 'fanfic' at the end of each chapter, this really was cleverly written. I can't wait to read more by Rainbow Rowells!
