Much better than Frankenstein. Had actual characters.
I finally finished this sucker! Really suspenseful at some moments, but there is a constant starting and stopping of the action that made this harder for me to get through, and the ending was anticlimactic for me considering how long I have been working towards it.
Ok what is there left to say about Dracula? Quite a lot really. For one I've never read the book so all my knowledge is based on various film versions and although Stoker wrote some absolute howlers in the novel it was a book that threw up plenty of surprises. Many people have mentioned that they didnt cope very well with it written in diary form, I thought it was good, it built up and kept the suspense going. My only gripe was that I was getting irritated by Van Helsings childish writings.Yes I

Dracula was pretty good. Not as spooky as I had hoped. And, I expected much more of the Count to be present. Instead, it seemed to be more about his victims and captors.
So, not at all like the Bela Lugosi movie. Heh.

Better than I expected but honestly? Dracula is a non-presence. That was disappointing.
Forgot how good this was.
