Eleanor and Park is not a book without controversy by some parents. In a way, I agree about the content being mature themed and may be much for a sheltered teen. But for the average teen, this would be just fine. I would encourage some parents to perhaps read first as there are some great themes throughout that can lead to very good discussions with their teen. Far better to have them talk to their own parents about some of he subject matter in the story.

This book is absolutely wonderful, a perfect young adult love story with two brilliant young characters who won my heart.
