His books are so good and you never can guess who is the bad guy. Love love his books
I haven’t read a gothic novel in years so it was a pleasant surprise to return to a crumbling mansion full of secrets and bloodstains. The main character, Kit McDeere, is a compelling narrator of her own situation as a caregiver previously accused of a mercy killing, and of the tragic events that occurred over fifty years ago in the mansion and seem to not yet be over. The atmosphere is full of danger and tension as the truth slowly emerges in several surprise revelations. Excellent on audio.
4.5*. Mr. Sager did it again. I was so sure I knew what was going on, and he still managed to send me on a roller coaster ride.
Starts out a bit slow but hang on for the ride! Great page turner.
