It took me a while to finish the book, because I was reading other books too and this book had such a dark vibe in it.
It was an interesting kind of horror thriller. Eerie, dark, some gross scenes and it left me spooked at times. Then I needed to put it down for a bit. Some parts were very graphic and disturbing, so this book is not for everyone to read.
I enjoyed how the author weaved the Indian history and the stories, legends, believes, rituals...of the different tribes in the actual story. It ...more

This book just wasn't for me. This gets so many 5 star reviews, so I think it must be a matter of "different books for different folks". Horror is not my genre and I've probably only read a few in my lifetime, but it wasn't the horror that bothered me. In fact, I didn't really find it to be much horror, although there was some gore.
