I really liked the family. They were a fun bunch but Rohan, the mysterious gentlemen, which Amelia asked for help and got a bit more especially those lovely kisses. Even though I'm not a big historical fan this was a good story. I enjoyed the fun family but I really enjoyed Amelia and Rohan's romance. Especially all those quick passionate kisses and of course the extra. I felt bad for Leo. He was drowning himself in booze because of the love he lost but the youngest sister was funny. I loved this book!! I read book #2 first, which featured surly Merripen. I also felt I was missing things since I hadn't read book one first. I loved, loved, loved Cam Rohan!! Amelia Hathaway's brother, Leo, has inherited a title and with it a country estate. Leo has been overindulging ever since his fiance died, and Amelia decides to move the family out to the estate to escape the excesses of London. Admittedly, I had started with Love in the Afternoon (which is the last book in the series gah! But someone had suggested Lisa Kleypas as being the starting point into getting into historical fiction/romance and that I would like it-- they weren't wrong) which is Beatrix story, so I know how things play out in the future.
