when january scaller finds a strange book, she’s not expecting for it to tell of other worlds—specifically, other worlds accessed by doors. as she reads on, january uncovers more and more secrets, attracting unwanted attention from people who don’t want her to know these things, and the book becomes more entwined with her own life.

This book was one of the biggest surprises for me yet. I had really thought that this book was going to be one that I didn't end up finishing. (Classic case of judging a book by the cover) I was so wrong. This book was so immersive and creative. This brings me back to reading Station Eleven. I loved the inception of a story within a story. Everything about this book was just well done.
