WOW.
I was prepared for so much less with this book. I will say I was disappointed in the cliched relationships in this book, but the twists and turns really push me towards a five star rating. It's for sure a book that builds and you won't appreciate it until it all starts coming together so stick through the terrible relationships and read it for the amazing plot!
So far my favorite book of 2022 and I'm hoping the following books are just as good! ...more

Giving this a 3.5
Pippa was stubborn as hell and thank goodness for that as this would not have been solved otherwise
I enjoyed her interactions with Ravi and I love that she kept going
There were three separate occasions my heart would have been more settled if she had gone with someone instead of investigating on her own lol but I’m glad it all worked out for her though it’s sad about the lives broken as a result but through their own making mostly let’s be honest

I was relatively impressed with this book. I will be honest though, Pip is an idiot. She knowingly put herself in mortal danger for the purpose of proving herself right. She was so driven that she often destroyed the lives of those around her in pursuit of her goal. I dislike her as a person. The story was good though. I liked how it looked at the many connections in one small town and the dirty laundry that people hide there.

This story is so good and creative. I enjoyed listening to the audiobook. It was really well performed by a full cast. An exceptional experience that I could compare to the Illuminae Files audiobooks, which also were great. An entertaining read.
Ok, yeah, consider me hooked.
