What Members Thought

Unsolved ☕︎ Mystery

- My Description -
Can you imagine being on Mars? Come on, really think about it.
Now, can you imagine living on Mars?
It would be lonely to say the least. Civilization can't survive there without protective gear.

He was left there by his crew who thought he had died during a brutal sandstorm.

After Mark's discovery of his circumstance, he thought he was screwed. Royally screwed.

The worst kind of screwed.

I have come across many science fiction novels over the years, but none have quite captivated me like "The Martian" by Andy Weir (apart from “Project Hail Mary", also by Weir!). Not to mention the movie is just as good, with just a few missing parts. It

My biggest issue was when the character would begin to explain the science and mechanics behind what he was doing, which I found interesting but also a little too in depth. At times the information became overwhelming and it would cause pacing issues (particularly around midway through).

This was an exercise in how much Murphy's Law can we fit in one book; if it was possible for something to go wrong it ab

This was fun. I enjoyed the humour and the author clearly loves science of many disciplines. I just wish I hadn't already seen the film because overall it was very similar. ...more
