i loved all the characters! they each had their own personality, and their own secrets. after all, nobody is who they say they are. in particular pavel, he was so sweet. gracie was a favorite as well! and i 100% related when amy said "i wish i brought a book". amy is my soul sister y'all. and i also loved sophie herself! she was cool, smart, and a little insecure and hotheaded at times, just like real people.

I would advise going into this knowing not much about it.

However, I would also say that this book is a fun book, where I laughed out loud, gasped, and had fun with the main character. The main character is basically an intern/babysitter for the children staying at the hotel that she works to stay in. It's about her relationships for those kids as well as the guests and staff at the hotel.

This book is different in a good way, though it would be more fit in a winter read, with that kind of weather fulfilled by strong wind and cold weather outside in spring, this one was still a good pick.

This book is different in a good way, though it would be more fit in a winter read, with that kind of weather fulfilled by strong wind and cold weather outside in spring, this one was still a good pick.
So we have Sophie a seventeen high school drop out was currently working as an intern in a luxury hotel on the mountain called Castle in the Cloud. She was struggling to find where she was meant to belong and to define herself to her parents on her orginial life path which was different to what her parents expected and her friends chose. In this mountainous hotel with its rich history, Sophie had her chance to meet so many people, ones were good, one were bad and mean and one were kind or at least it was based on Sophie's impression on them. Throughout the story, we followed Sophie to discover the hotel and her purpose in life as working in this hotel. And as any teenager at her age, she was also looking for her love, with the appearance of two difference boys with two opposite backgrounds Ben and Tristian, who would finally end up holding her hand?
So the reason why I said this book was different is because of how I could easily distinguished two different parts of this book: the hotel itself with all of its properities and people and on the other hand - the story of our protagonist - Sophie. I was so immersed into the hotel with how it was built with every detail, its scenaries and people who were working under it. Everything was such wonderful for a winter read, that winter wonderland vibe was one of the best of which I've ever read.
Though I was impressed by how the author created her world in this book, the story of Sophie didn't reach the same level as other impression. I could empathy to Sophie for half the time, but to me, her personalities weren't that stand out or memorable at all. (view spoiler)
After all, I still think this one was a good choice for a cosy reading with a winter wonderland theme. Though some climax and twists were a little bit exagerating and a little bit of frustration giving by our protagonist - Sophie, this gave you an okay storyline with varied characters and you could easily find for yourself a favorite.
