Shelves: science
An abridged audio book read by the author who does an excellent job of it. A terrific way to go through the history of science. I hope to read the unabridged book some day. Also an excellent tape to play for young adults.

This is an outstanding book for those looking for an accessible and entertaining introduction to several scientific disciplines. On the other hand, for the well-read science reader many parts will be repetitive, and owing to its very broad scope, will lack the depth they're accustomed to. Still, the author's style and humor make the review interesting and worth the time. A great general science book, nice to read, some funny asides and awesome insight into the adventure of scientific discovery. Well recommended.
