Shelves: twentieth-century, free, nonfiction, 2011, science, biology

I've already read The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution, The God Delusion, and The Ancestor's Tale: A Pilgrimage to the Dawn of Evolution, so I was prepared to really enjoy this one. Especially since it's often lauded as one of the best works on Darwinian evolution of the last century. But, truth be told, I was a tad underwhelmed. Forse leggermente datato, anche perché questa polemica sull'evolluzione va avanti ormai da anni. Inoltre l'autore tende a ripetere parecchie volte lo stesso concetto per quanto affrontandolo da punti di vista diversi, quindi alla lunga mi ha un po' annoiato. Resta comunque una lettura interessante perché le osservazioni dell'autore spesso mettono in collegamento argomenti ed ambiti tra i piú disparati. ...more
