This was one creepy book.
I was just idly flipping through this, but something about the bald, unadorned inner monologue style grabbed my attention. It’s confusing and meandering narration is fairly effective at mirroring the protagonists state of mind, but the author used this style a bit too heavy-handedly for the book to be fully immersible.

I have a lot of feelings about this... I need a physical copy so i can re read this like a million times. Until then ill cry and think about it non stop. I would suggest if you like thinks that mess with your head
I’m not giving a rating on this yet because I don’t know how to feel 😅. I enjoyed it but only about the last few chapters are where things got very good. I typically read fantasy romance but I wanted a change of pace and picked up this as an audio book. I think I need more experience in this genre to give a rating 😁
