I enjoyed this book very much. It makes you think about discrimination, government, mob mentality, what makes a hero, what defines a family and LGBTQIA themes. The book is in the fantasy genre including magical beings.

LOTS of life lessons and revelations are included in this fable. It was nice finding all the little treasures inside.
I timed library loans for the written and audio selections at the same time, and it was the perfect way to read this book. The narrator, Daniel Henning, should win an award for the audio version.

This is the first book in a long time that made me actually laugh out loud. Charming and sweet - if you just take it for a lovely story and not think to hard about it, it's a lovely ride.
