I did not like it. I thought she was going great with the idea in the first and second book, but once she added Tobias's point of view, the book sort of crushed. I seriously thought Tobias was being a whiny little girl and the ending had no point to it whatsoever. I love this series. I really do. But instead of feeling like a new person (like how you see the world from a different perspective after reading a good book), after reading the last book, I felt numb just like Four when Tris died.

Also, Four suddenly became so... weak. Like he just lost all the values and lessons he has learned in life just because he was GD. And not only because of that re There might be spoilers, I guess? I'm not sure. I don't know anything anymore. No really, there's a spoiler.

I love this series. I really do. But instead of feeling like a new person (like how you see the world from a different perspective after reading a good book), after reading the last book, I felt numb just like Four when Tris died.

Also, Four suddenly became so... weak. Like he just lost all the values and lessons he has learned in life just because he was GD. And not only because of that reason alone―there are others too.
I understand how he must've felt too, given if I was in his position and that we are different people so we cope with the problem differently too but, I felt like Four suddenly become so hopeless, which is so different from how he was portrayed based on the first and second book. At least he used to pick himself up.

Is it bad that I agree with some of those who didn't like how it ended? I mean, it's not my choice since I'm just a reader but I can't help but feel this shallow emptiness in my heart. I deprived myself of sleep on this one because I loved the story. But after reading how she died... It felt so unreal. Yeah, she died by saving everyone and it is heroic, yeah yeah, but I don't know. My heart is protesting. And I don't feel good. It's also not because I wanted a happy ending. I mean, everyone does even though it doesn't happen all the time. I just... Maybe I just expected a better explanation than this.

Was 'that' necessary?

To me, it didn't feel like it was Tris' time yet. It just so happens that the 'reason' for killing her was in sync with 'timing' and bam! She's gone. Just like that. Caleb's scene should've been longer to give justice to Tris' death.

P.S. Now that I've sobered up from the truth that Tris is really dead, I guess the reason why I'm so disappointed is because this book was my escape from reality. But after Tris' act of heroism, it has pulled me back to the place I was escaping from―reality. Not that I'm running away from it (or maybe I am) but... It was comforting... To know that they would be together again. That she is alive. Let me correct that. Was.

I was loaded with high hopes when i first saw the cover release. First, the Edith Prior video in Insurgent blew my mind away and i was expecting a lot for Allegiant. The plot isn't exactly what i predicted but it turned out satisfying so i am not going to fuss about it. The ending blew my mind away, so did my heart. Why do all great books have to end by tear-producing scenes!
Maybe Tris's happy and with her parents in heaven but I'm really sad for Tobias.And I just wish David died !
