Probably closer to 2.5 stars. Just okay. Kinda felt like the author was just randomly shoving odd things into the story for the heck of it.

This didn't tickle my fancy as much as some of his earlier novels.
On reflection, it should have done.
It was a good zany story and the bad guys suffer fitting ends like they usually do in Carl Hiassen books, leaving the reader satisfied that justice has been done.
It's probably going to make a great movie.
I found the social media links in the story a little forced. Yes, even us oldies use all that stuff now but for some reason it felt out of place in a Carl Hiassen novel.

Read this book for a challenge, really not my thing. I am just not a huge fan of Carl Hiaasen. It had a few laugh out loud moments but for the most part it was just really off putting.
I really hate when the "N" word is used in novels, I really don't think it is necessary, regardless of the reason...

One thing you can bank on with a book by Florida-based writer Carl Hiaasen: You'll get a chuckle or two amid the plot twists and turns. This one, which centers on recently demoted Andrew Yancy of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, is no exception.
