I read this book for the Goodreads' Book Club Diversity in All Forms!
I found this book to only be "okay." I was really looking forward to reading it because I heard great things. However, when I started reading it I realized that it was very slow. I felt it took a long time to get interesting. This book took me way longer to finish than I had expected.

This is my first book by Gail Honeyman (I believe this is her only book), but hopefully not my last. What an outstanding author! I absolutely loved this book! From the very beginning, Eleanor Oliphant had me giggling, frowning, and as the book continued, so did a wide range of emotions on my part. I love it when books evoke so many different emotions. I'd heard so much about this book for a few years.
It follows a few months in the life of a quirky young woman with a dark and complicated past. The story doesn't dwell in the past though. The characters were enjoyable to get to know. This isn't a fast-paced novel but it's one that I was committed to see to the end.
