Very good narrative, I listened to this on audio and I was pleasantly entertained. I had no idea of Michelle’s upbringing, how she came to be the woman she is now, and all she dealt with. A very good book.

Michelle Obama is America's most admired woman of 2018, according to Gallup, and reading her best-selling memoir, Becoming, is a comforting reminder of the moral inspiration she gives to women and people all over the world to do better, to be patient but never stop striving. Michelle's voice is authentic in a page-turner of a memoir that shares the stories that shaped her as she was becoming in her many different roles ;)

One of my first books of 2019 and this one will be hard to top! Prior to reading, I already admired Michelle's confidence and commitment to the goals I knew (fitness, kids, etc.). After reading, I was so thankful for her shared wisdom. The sections on the challenges of working motherhood brought up points/insights for me that I'm still thinking of a few months after reading.
