THIS is the one that I read most of whose title I couldn't think of when I was reviewing My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry...it was like reading The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared only I already knew the jokes and wasn't really interested in reading it anyway.
What a disappointing read. It's not funny, or profound, or even particularly creative, y'all.

No idea why a person of Ove's age was made out to be so old; the author's constant references about his age would have made more sense for a much older adult (unless in Sweden 60 is the end of the road for all things vibrant and dynamic).
There were occasions when I hollered and laughed, especially the driving lesson. The neighbor and her daughters were my favorite characters, and I wish they had been given more depth and development.

The loveliest novel I've read all year by far. I highly recommend this book. It will make you smile and laugh out loud and recognize the beauty that is around us.
