I saw the movie first and I HAD to read the book. I found this book to be very endearing. What terrible circumstances, but I think Jacks voice made this a very unique read.

I'll forever remember this BRILLIANT book. How impressing it was to experience a 5-years-old boy's point of view who was locked up his entire life in a small world which was 12 foot square room! Emma Donoghue managed to picture for us the sad truths of our real world through a child's great deal of imagination, pain and love.. specially growing up, facing responsibilities and fears.
