I read this story 14 years ago, and the review I wrote then was testy because I was too often and too deeply reminded of Forrest Gump as I read it. I ***LOATHE*** every single frame of that film, including the titles, the union notices, and the copyright information. It is sappy. It is m ...more

I just finished rereading this book for an upcoming book club meeting. After recently reading a book by Temple Grandin an extremely high functioning autistic person I find it even more amazing that Mark Haddon was able to write a book in the person of Christopher. I definitely appreciated this book more than I did on the first reading
