This is the oldest book on my TBR so I finally decided to pick it up on audiobook. And i'm so disappointed :( Had I read this back in 2013 when I got it, back when I was still OBSESSED with TMI, i'm sure I would have loved it. But now I've forgotten literally all of the characters and events and this provides no context and it's just random vignettes of Magnus's life. I love Magnus so much. He is so funny and witty and sarcastic that it is hard not to love him. I think my favourite stories in this collection were Saving Raphael Santiago and The Course of True Love (and First Dates). Some of the stories were more enjoyable than others however I found myself enjoying all of them so overall I had to rate it 5 stars.

Oh man am I glad to have read this after reading every other book in the series. The last little voicemail tidbit would have had me in a craze of anxiety.

The first two stories are so subpar tbh. I read them when the book first came out and just thought they were hella dumb. Thought I’d give it a try again and I wasn’t wrong about the first two. They’re still boring but the rest of them,,,especially the hotel dumont/dumort were GREAT.

This was an absolutely impeccable read. I adored learning more about Magnus’s past. He is one of my all time favourite characters every and is an actual icon. He’s like the Beyonce of the shadowhunter world and i adore him so much. Malec is the best couple ever and how freakin cute were they in their chapters. Also the voicemails at the end were hilarious and i love them all so much.
