dude i just really loved this
you rarely get an lgbt+ standalone fantasy novel with a happy ending and... that's what this was. this book reminds me of that quote or whatever that says that we've all decided that tragedy is the most intellectual or cultured form of art, just because we're all cynical and sad, and that that's ridiculous.
but we forget that it's much harder to write a happy ending than it is to kill everyone.
that's why this happy ending is so fresh and just... good. like heartstop ...more
