My goal is to physically read books that I gave low ratings that I listen to on audiobooks. Radio Silence is one of those books. I absolutely love Alice Oseman. This is another YA contemporary that surprised me (read my Eliza and Her Monsters review if you're interested). Teenagers, especially in fandoms, are difficult to write, and can very easily become cringey, yet Alice Oseman did this very well. Also, the purely platonic relationship of the main characters was wonderfully refreshing. And Frances's (the main character) mother was one of my favorite characters. This book really hit close to home with me, which is partially why I have given it a full five star rating. Seeing an accurate representation of someone similar to yourself in a book always boosts your enjoyment, but even if you cannot relate to Frances and Aled's struggles, there are plenty of other factors to ensure your enjoyment.
