I may have gotten bored during some of the book, but it was still really good. I felt like it started to drag out for a while, and, though I understand people change in traumatic experiences, I think Tris changed a little too much. She turned to putty.. How do you change from a determined badass to putty?!
Anyways, I'm excited for the next book. Whenever that will be. ...more

2nd book of the Divergent series and it picks immediately where the 1st one ended. This one deals with the scenario where our group of heroes and heroines run from the dangers they are in. Also Tris is rendered mostly incapable and riddled with guilt (with you know what) she has PTSD so there's that. This was another superb book and as usual I sacrificed my sleep to read through chapters after chapters on this page-turner. There were many good things about this book so it's very difficult to inc

Surely better than Divergent. Also a higher level of action, dystopia and a few surprises worth looking forward to.
I think I like Tris better here. She has become a little more human here than her inhumanly self of the first book. Tobias as always is more likable. It felt great to be back with Uriah, Morlene, Lynn, Christina (thank God) and even Shuana.
Though I would have wanted Caleb and Susan together but that becomes another matter altogether.

Most second books don't hold a handle to the first book however Veronica sped up the pace and allowed it to be all round amazing, delighted read. Well worth the five stars that she is getting on all bookstores. She has proved herself to be a seriously good Romance/Teen/Thriller/Action writer of the future and I think that she knows it.
Well done.
5/5

This book was pretty good I really like the author. I didn't like this book quite as much as Divergent though. I think part of what made Divergent great was Tris going through Dauntless initiation. In this book Tris obviously must overcome a new conflict and it is quite a conflict but I found it less interesting than the Dauntless initiaion. Never the less this book was still very entertaining and I look forward to reading the final book Alligent

Veronica Roth has done it again! This book is the second heart-stopping installment of the Divergent series, and it is every bit as good as the first. You get to learn a little more about Four, and more about the war going on in The City. Insurgent, just like Divergent, kept me up reading into the wee hours of the night. Definitely a must-read.
Couldnt put it down! I'm glad I waited until I owned the trilogy before I read these as I couldn't wait for the next book!
