I fell in love with this book. I prefer books with a lot of dialogue, and this had far more description than dialogue. Yet I was pulled deeply into this story and found myself eager to keep reading. I liked this so much, it's made me want to read more literary fiction. This definitely lived up to the hype.

All the Light We Cannot See was a different kind of historical book, a different view on World War II. It brought Marie-Laure, a blind teenager, to us, and Werner, a German fighting in a war when he should have been protected.

The book is beautifully written to show how war is the age old process of suffering of common man on the ego of some power seeking crazed up leaders. There may be some historical facts wrongly stated but the words are like paints of imagination, touching subtly on human feelings. I will read this book again someday again!
