What Members Thought
If I think about this book as a great love story, then I hate it! But if I view it as a portrayal of dark passions, flaws, and sinister whisperings that torture unhappy souls, then it is a great story. And I think that it was very brave of Emily Bronte to write such a book at that time.
I finally pick up this all time classic, expected it to be a romantic love story between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff. The story and relationship between them turns out to be disturbing and melodramatic. Heathcliff being a rude, rough, and greedy man full of vengeance destroying the family of Linton and the later generation. And the love relationships between Little Catherine and her cousins, Catherine deserves better love and I expect her to have more wisdom than having her life and fate r
