Alright. Let's review this train-wreck.
How is this possible? How can the woman who wrote such a good debut novel fail to deliver so spectacularly in this book? I thought that writers were supposed to get better through experience, not worse.
Apparently, Veronica Roth is the exception to that rule. If Divergent was awesome and Insurgent was pretty good, this book continued the downwards spiral and ended up being terrible.

This book was so thoroughly disappointing that I had to wait a couple of weeks before writing this review. I absolutely loved Divergent and would tell everyone how it was the only book that has come close to the hunger games. After reading Insurgent, I was slightly disappointed because it seemed that the fame had went to Veronica Roth's head. I honestly believed she would find her way back though and wrap up this trilogy in a stellar fashion. Wow, was I wrong. First of all, never write from the

Roth is a genius or evil. I was hoping, like so many others, that there was going to be a life after the wars. Sadly, I was mistaken. The writing, like all three books, still make me cringe, but the story is great.
Roth went out on a limb with the ending, more so than the Hunger Games trilogy, and for that I respect. But I'm not sure it had to be done. She said she had the ending planned from the beginning, but how much suffering must one accept? We see all of the loses throughout the book, all o ...more

I don't know what to say anymore. I'll probably won't be able to move on.

I gave it 4 stars just because its allegiant and I love the series and I would've loved this book anyway. I mean Veronica Roth would've had to make a conscious effort to make it crappy in order for me to decide I didn't like it. Having said that though I didn't feel like it was the greatest book ever either... but that might have gad something to do with my impossibly high expectations.
The ending was shocking though and I still can't fully believe it. (Dont worry I won't spoil it) It took a whil ...more

3.5. This was a hard one for me to rate. I loved books one and two. The pace on this book was a little slower for me mainly toward the middle. Also on occasion I lost which pov we were viewing as both voices sounded similar. I wasn't happy with the outcome without spoiling it for anyone else, but I think the author stayed true to her characters. Tris would of made those choices because that is exactly who she was. I feel sad, deflated after reading this, partly for the way it ended and those las
