I understand that this book series if very in-demand at the moment and most teenagers have either read it or know about it because of the movie and all the media coverage. And I understand the hype: the idea of a dystopian world where we are separated into categories depending on who we are and how we choose to live our lives. It works.

I sobbed so hard toward the ending of this book. I got why Veronica Roth did wat she did and i get that the whole point of Tris's character is to find who is was and to perform an ultimate selfless act and when that is done, that's the end of her journey there's nothing else left but there's Tobias and the ppl she loves. I cannot describe the excitement I had for this book so as soon as I got it in my hands I started it.

To be honest, I was expecting something more exciting to be outside the fence, but then I realized that it was kind of logical and that it made sense. I surely was confused everytime Veronica explained the outer world, I just couldn't picture it exactly as she described it, and I really wanted to know what was it like in other places.

Ohhh I have sooo much to say about this book.

Overall, I was kind of iffy about how this book turned out, and how the series panned out. I guess, past Divergent, it was all action, action, action, with some romance integrated here and there, and some really cute and funny moments, but that's mostly what I got from both Insurgent and Allegiant.

Basically, Tris, Tobias and the gang go outside the fence and discover the big bad secret that's been haunting our wonderful characters since the beginning Ohhh I have sooo much to say about this book.

I guess, past Divergent, it was all action, action, action, with some romance integrated here and there, and some really cute and funny moments, but that's mostly what I got from both Insurgent and Allegiant.

Basically, Tris, Tobias and the gang go outside the fence and discover the big bad secret that's been haunting our wonderful characters since the beginning of the series (view spoiler) and then their world is once again plunged into another uprising, but this time, Tobias and Tris find themselves on different sides...sort of.

Tobias has been grumpy since the second book, and maybe the big secret they reveal is because of it, but sometimes I really want to strangle him. I get he doesn't want to be ruled under anyone's tyrannical thumb, but a little trust is deserved at this point, and frankly the briefest lack of belonging and he collapses mentally. Jeez.

It annoyed me that everyone was trying to get on top of one another in social hierachy and be top dog, and I'm glad that the author pointed the fact out through a couple of characters in the book. But I like the overall solution they presented at the end; it wasn't morally the best solution, nor would it probably last in the long run and probably result in another uprising, but I preferred it to any more wanton violence. The ending...ugggghhhh! The ending, oh I loved it and I hated it! I liked how the author deviated from the cliche and it did not turn out the best for everybody, but honestly after all the violence, I was kinda hoping for a nice, easy going end (view spoiler) Oh how I wish it was altered, but I guess in that world, it was something to be expected.

I believe I'll give this an overall 3 out of 5...2 doesn't do it justice, but I can't do a half star so 3 is all I have. It wasn't amazing like how I felt about Divergent, but it wasn't terrible like how I felt about the end of the Mockingjay.

I have to say that the 1st and 2nd book was just better than the last. the beginning you are in the middle of every thing and its exciting and you know that Tris and Fours love will be tested.

Then you get to the Bureau and the outside world. All the things and facts about GD and GP made 100 pages extremly boring, but if you push through it the next pages are exciting.

I feel like Tris death was true to her character, being selfless and brave. I did not shed a tear for her but I did ...more
