Clockwork Angel is the prequel series to TMI. Some of the main character's descendants are the main characters of TMI. This series is set in Victorian Era London. Clockwork Angel is a good reference for those who have read TMI. I had a few 'ahha' moments in this book. I love the characters, especially Tessa, Will, and Jem. There is some action, but more drama in this series. This book is addictive and very interesting. I loved it and would highly suggest it to anyone who liked TMI. ...more

“It's all right to love someone who doesn't love you back, as long as they're worth you loving them. As long as they deserve it.”

This book was so so so so so soooo good! I absolutely loved it. I wasn't sure at first if I wanted to read this trilogy, because I feel like I had my fare share of the TMI world, but "Clockwork Angel" completely blew me away. After reading this I am 100% sure I want to continue with this story.

The setting was brilliant, this London was just kind of more than perfect fo

Clockwork Angel is an awesome, awesome read! What I mean is, it's not some literary extraordinaire but it was a good read. The blooming love triangle between Tessa, Jem and Will makes me jump up and down my seat like a fan girl. The fight scenes were also cool and Cassandra Clare wrote brilliantly that the words transports you into Old Victorian London as if you are a true Shadowhunter or a pretty damn Downworlder.

I absolutely loved this book but I guess the fact that it took me a long time to read it made it less enjoyable for me. But I still loved almost everything about this book. The characters were all interesting and well developed and I found myself falling in love with Jem; Will was slightly annoying though. I loved the plot, the writing, everything. The only thing I didn't like was the scene of Will and Tessa's first kiss. It seemed so unnatural and fake, I was afraid the whole romance would be t ...more

I love this book more than the original Mortal instruments series. the setting is beautiful and the characters are so detailed. that being said i feel that this book is weaker than Clockwork prince as a large chunk of this is merely introduction. a wonderful start to a trilogy that is the perfect mix of steam-punk and magic with mystery and betrayal and of course just a splash of romance.
