This was super fun and steamy to read. I enjoyed the banter and dark dynamics between the main characters. I enjoyed it and already recommended it to a girlfriend to help her get out of a reading slump.

Was it as good as I imagined in my head? No, but I'm also not disappointed. Am I surprised at all the attention and good ratings it has? Yes, a little.

Maybe it's my fault because I went into this book thinking it was them hating eachother, developing a friendship AND THEN falling in love. Which, technically did happen. But I guess I just didn't expect them to get so sexual and make out, so fast. I suppose I'm just a sucker for slow burns. Then again, maybe it's I'd give this a 3 and ¾ out of 5.

Then again, maybe it's because of the age difference I had with the characters. I'm a lot younger and I don't have the same views or life experience that they had/have. I probably wouldn't have read this book if I knew that they would be so attached and sexual, so early in the book. But I'm so glad I didn't know. It was very different from the normal type of books I read (probably because I read very teen romance/drama type of books, that definitely make me seem so immature and naive. It also give me such a false and fairytale image on love and life. I need to read more books where the character is closer to 20, rather than 16), so I'm glad I had the chance to read something different. It actually opened my eyes a lot more and taught me a few things about life, work, family and love. I liked that he taught her to stop letting people walk all over her. It's so important to not let people use you and take advantage of your kindness, especially in a workplace. I also adored her friendship with Helene. They both admired eachother, so much. They truly were such a sweet pair and the type of ladies that you'd WANT in charge. They complimented eachother, really well.

Overall I still think it was fantastic. I feel like they grew and learnt a lot from each other. Lucy is a gem and I really do love her and her personality. I also love their nicknames for eachother, they really are a bunch of dorks. So many scenes had me so excited and I got such a thrill from it! The wedding scene truly had my heart cut up. I'm so proud of her for believing him though, I don't think I would've been strong enough. I'm far too jealous and insecure, for my own good. One of my favourite scenes was definitely when she was sick in bed and he was there. I think that's when I started realising that they don't actually hate eachother, they're both just troubled and confused.

After writing this review, I'm thinking maybe it is worth a 4/5. I might have to read it again later on in life, to decide.
