I've read a few reviews of this book that say that this book, the sixth Georgia Nicolson book, is the last really good book in the series. I always try not to read reviews of books before I read them, but sometimes I get carried away.

This book was just as funny as the first five, though the fifth book Away Laughing On A Fast Camel still remains my favorite.
Also, if I'm being honest, I will just confess my love for Dave The Laugh right now.

Also, if I'm being honest, I will just confess my love for Dave The Laugh right now.
In this book, Georgia and her family travel to America (otherwise known as Hamburger-a-gogo land) for a 'clown car' convention. It's a family outing. Jas is also coming. Sadly, the cats are not.
Georgia only wants to go to America because Masimo will be there. Masimo=Italian sex god. Replacement sex god. Also 'fabbity fab' kisser.
Georgia will be in Memphis, Tennesee (home of Elvis,) while Masimo will be in Manhattan, New York.
This leads to Georgia calling every number in Manhattan with the last name Scarlotti. She orders Chinese takeout. She does not find Masimo.
Everyone goes to a club called Gaylords, which involves bucking broncos and strange American women. Libby has a song she likes to sing for people, which involves bum and poo and, eventually, thanks to the American women, fanny.
She sings it for everyone she sees. Everybody. She also carries around a Barbie doll and Barbie's companion, Sandra (aka Georgia's MIA Jesus statue.)
Eventually Georgia returns home and eventually Masimo is there too.
Tom, Jas' Sex God (and Robbie's little brother) will be home soon. Jas is counting down the minutes. In other words, talking to her is a lost cause. Georgia learns this.
Speaking of Robbie, he sends her a letter. And a picture, a picture of him playing guitar by a stream. And he's still Robbie. And Georgia is still Georgia. But things are different now.
Many things happen over the course of this book, much more than the usual ramblings. There is rambling, but there is also much snogging (including back-of-leg snogging.) Masimo takes Georgia out to dinner. And eventually Georgia finally tells him how she really feels.
And a few days before that, Dave the Laugh finally told Georgia how he really feels.
Things, once again, are about to get quite confusing.
