This novel is phenomenal, that is the only word I can think of to describe it. Before I started reading this book, I had no idea what it was about! All I knew was that it was that people said it was good.
The first couple of chapters I was completely confused, but the more I read the more I wanted to understand what was happening. An interesting premise for a Dystopian novel. While this is considered a young adult book, much is here for adults. You are given very little as to the world that exists outside this maze community, where the children battle each day. Many have said that this is a Lord of the Flies type book, which I can see, obviously with the addition of the mystery of what is really going on beyond the world that the participants know.
Give it a try, it is something different.
