Even though I had a hard time connecting with the characters at times because of a 'story within a story' way this book was told, I still enjoyed this original and superbly well written tale enough to rate it 5 stars.

And I know nothing has been said/planned [unless I missed it] but the ending was left wide open for the author to continue with the story, should she decide ... and I am kind of hoping she does ... eventually. Because I'd love to see more of Cooper McQueen.

I just love Tiffany's bedtime story books!! This a story within a story and it captivates you from the get go. It's set in the south around a very rich , white bourbon family with ties to slavery....red ties that is!! Jacob Maddox started Red Thread and his offsprings have all wanted to do anything to carry on the line. But at what costs??

The Bourbon Thief is not like other books I've read by Tiffany Reisz, but this just goes to show what a talented author she is. Incredible story telling in this book! I wouldn't be oppose to another story about Paris and what happens after The Bourbon Thief ends. ...more

OMG... you hooked me and reeled me in. I loved this book. Tamara and Levi were awesome. Loved how she wanted to make what was wronged right.. they had so much thrown at them and they persevered. have to say there were a few things I did not see coming. That had me literally going WTF No way. It had a nice twist to it. This is by far my new favorite. This is very different for Tiffany Reisz, but she is an AMAZING writer! This book will take you through 150 years of a family history, most of it shameful and disturbing. Paris seduces Cooper McQueen to get close to a million dollar bottle of bourbon. The bottle has a bloody history attached to it and Paris will have to tell the history to get the bourbon. Suicide, rape, murder are in the Maddox family background. Will history finally be put to rest? Once you read this, you will want to drink a ...more
