Children's/YA Mystery, read 1987-1992. Large group of detecting girls and boys (at least 4-5 kids) and a gang's underground hideout. Not part of any well-known children's detective series.

ABANDONED. Children's adventure book read in 1960s. Children solving a mystery where criminals were smuggling saccharine.

Old elementary to middle-grade Mystery novel. It has a tree (pine, I think) on the cover, and also some kind of vacation location (hotel or cabin, possibly) that maybe had an open window.
