95766 Only three more days to nominate, guys. Be sure to get them in!
95766 That's no problem! I actually didn't get to start it till this morning, since I had a presentation to get ready for this past weekend.

I'm really enjoying the book, too. I might have a hard time limiting myself to just five chapters a day, but I'm rationalizing the extra chapters, saying I might not get a chance to read on one day. ;)

I think Mal might have had something for Alina when they were kids but might have given up hope that the feeling was mutual. Hmm...

I'm on chapter seven right now. What do you think of the Darkling so far? *Swoons over him*

95766 So, I had initially thought to have holiday/winter books for next month's theme, but seeing as we have such a large, diverse group, I eventually decided it would be best to go another route.

So, next month, we'll we delving into debut novels, meaning the first novel written by an author. Authors who have written books since their debut novel are acceptable (Say, you want to nominate Defiance by C.J. Redwine, who recently released her second book, then Defiance is still acceptable.) but I'd really like to stick to recent releases if possible.

Nominate away! Be sure to get your votes in or I'll have to think of all the possibilities when I put the poll up! ;D

95766 Good picks so far guys! ^.^
95766 Thanks! I've heard lots of great things about it and I've been meaning to read it for an age. :)
95766 There. We have the thread ready for Friday. :D

Silva and I will start reading this on Friday! Anyone who wants to join us is welcome!

95766 Well, I have a presentation I have to work on for grad school this weekend, but - if you don't plan to read too fast - I can start on Friday. If you'd rather read it more quickly, say in a few days, it might be best to wait till Tuesday. Whichever you prefer is fine with me, though. :)

95766 I'm interested in reading Shadow and Bone! I've been meaning to read it forever and I think a Buddy Read would give me the kick in the rear I need to start it. XD

I got Cinder and FanGirl. They are both..."

Cinder's awesome! And though it's pretty thick, it's a fairly fast paced book and I imagine you'll be able to finish it pretty quickly.

I've been wanting to read Fangirl, but it's not at our library. =(
