957268 Glad to have everyone aboard!

Reading slumps are no joke. I have them from time to time. Sometimes I just have to pick up a book and force myself to push through. Other times I just let it run its course.

957268 I recently decided to work on my owned shelves. I have so many books (like I’m a saving them for a rainy day). A friend and I have decided to work on reading our own books. Of course I still have my pile from the library too.

957268 Good morning everyone! I’m posting this a bit early to give everyone time to prepare. This month's theme is everything that has to do with Summer. Get out those summer books: books about Summer, books on the beach, books about swimming, books about vacations, etc. It’s up to you to determine your interpretation of summer. And remember....you do not need to stick to the theme to participate in the readathon. This is about having fun and getting those TBR lists read.

Also, the readathon will run from August 23 to August 26 giving you all a full extra day to sneak in more reading time! The Reading Mermaid and Andrew65 both have posts on Litsy about the readathon as well. I’ll be posting there today too.

So what’s your goal or plan this month? Good luck!

957268 Hello! Ace suggested we start a thread on getting to know each other here on GR. A wonderful idea! Please take a moment to introduce yourselves.

My name is JB here on GR and jb72 on Litsy. Of course I love to read, and I live on a farm in Kentucky with my two dogs, cat, turtles and chickens. I’m a stay at home dog mom (my human kids are grown). I am originally from Florida, and I miss the beach terribly!
