Yeah, it's really interesting having read this book and knowing that there were several twists but not remember any of the details is making this a more interesting journey, ha ha!

I made it to chapter 32 and I'm getting whiplash from changing my mind so many times. I mean, I'm starting to really love Julian, but I'm also wondering who he REALLY is and if we're going to get some big reveal at the end that tells us he really IS a bad dude, ha ha! I honestly have zero memory of the end, so I can't remember how this all resolves. The connection with her grandmother and the appearance of her dad and fiance--well, I hate her dad even more than I did before! He's definitely the villain to hate in this book!

I'm glad I'm not alone, Sarah! I didn't realize this book would be so popular!

I'm not going to get to this in July but am hoping to read it in August. I have it on request with my library, and the estimated wait on it is currently 6 weeks, although I can usually get it faster than the estimated time.

Right! I just noticed her new series, but realized that it would make more sense if I finished this trilogy so I HAD to finish this trilogy first, lol! I managed to read a few chapters today and she and Julian have made it into the gates (he barely made it) and she's explored the inn a little. He's hilarious and I am getting the feeling he does everything just to get a rise out of her, lol! I really like Scarlett, but she really takes everything so seriously, so he's a great foil character for her.

Yeah, I read this 3 years ago while I was traveling, and while I remember finding it a really quick read, I never got around to reading the next two books, so I wanted to reread this so that the later books would make sense, lol! I agree with you that the world-building is really interesting!

Sylvs and I are reading Caraval together! I started today, July 15, and read 6 chapters, but am thinking maybe 5-6 chapters per day. It was a solid start, but they are just getting set up.
