88432 Hi - I'm Denise. I live in the U.S. (currently buried in snow) and will read just about anything. I think my favorite thing about participating in the Uno challenge is that I always read more during this challenge. I typically average about a book a week, but there's something so motivating about knowing we really need a book with a pink cover or a book with a hedgehog to complete a challenge.

Looking forward to virtually meeting everyone and seeing your recommendations!

88432 We were snowed in most of today, so I'm cleaning out my stacks of unread books and sorting by color. 😂

Excellent advice. It is overwhelming at first. But SOO fun!

Maybe a general discussion of the spirits Vasya encounters? Like what it would be like to encounter these creatures, which one would you most want to have in your life, etc.?

I may have enjoyed it a bit more than you, but for the most part, I agree. I enjoyed the first half of this more than the second half. I purchased the second and third books, but haven't read them/started them yet.

88432 I think I played Uno for the first time in 2019(?) and am looking forward to not needing to refer to a printed list of directions every time I enter a book. I think I've finally got the system down. 😂
88432 This was ok for me. I agree it was a bit slow in the beginning, but I love a good family drama. There was lots of that! I expected a bit more from the ending, but still an enjoyable read for me.

88432 I'll throw this out in case it helps...
My werewolf book has a main character that does late night security patrols. So just in case anyone has a werewolf book, I could switch it. I added it to the completion post just in case.

I'm not a captain, but I vote yes! It is definitely not pastel...which is what I kept running into when looking for a pink cover.

88432 I'm working a lot this week, so I'll probably just get to one more. I know it will work for B14 and B20. And for the spell it outs, it works for A,C, L, and W.

88432 It's too soon for me to re-read it, but Vampire on the Orient Express was only 135 pages and it had a vampire and I believe also a werewolf. There is a sequel. I'll see if it's out and similarly short.

88432 I'm done with my last color card (yellow), but will wait to post until I can get to the laptop.

Haven't had luck yet with a bright pink book, but my current read has walkman and shoulder pads in the text.

88432 I'm debating if I want to re-read Tell the Wolves I'm Home. I remember that I really enjoyed it, but can't remember a lot of the specifics. It is set in the 80s and I'm sure would check lots of the mini-challenge boxes.

Or maybe I'll look for a bright pink book. Is there any specific category we're worried about? Or just keep reading whatever?
