Im slacking on the mini; but here it is. Everyone check out the recipes and see which one you think would be good!! The spell it out is up to 15 letters so, we can use multiple words but only 15 letters if that makes sense.

April Mini Challenge

This is an optional mini challenge for our UNO players. This month we are joining another team for a bake-off!

In February, you assembled your space treats and in March you embarked on your space travel. So now it is time to come back home and have a tea party with your new found treats.

◈ You can choose any recipe from a different team (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...). With that recipe in hand you need to decide as a team how to eat their treat. You do this by:
→ picking word(s) from that team's recipe to "spell-it-out" you can do this with up to 15 letters (they need to be complete words, not only spelling partial words)
→ picking word(s) from that team's recipe that you can find on the cover of books or as words in text. You can do this with up to 15 words
→ deciding what else you would like to serve at the tea party. Complete the story on the spreadsheet using book titles. (15 words) This is the story of your tea party in your own words. Be as creative as you like. You can use as much or as little of a title as you see fit.

◈ Every book read, i.e. every task completed, is worth 10 points.

◈ If you complete all your requirements for a tea party, your team will receive 30 bonus points.

◈ Share your tea party with the team that created the recipe you were given for an additional 10 points. (This means posting to their thread your tea party story)

◈ Books can be started at any point since the start of the UNO challenge (Feb 1)
◈ Books need to be finished after the start of this mini challenge on April 12, 7pm AEST (countdown is here) and before May 1 at 7pm AEST (Countdown to the end of April is here)

Theres a readathon going on right now for a different thing so Im hoping to get through 4 books this weekend!

In PA our governor is shutting down counties at a time; which isnt really effective at all because of ease of travel. My county is supposed to be on essential only mode but absolutely nobody is taking it seriously. I work part time in a grocery store so Ive been seeing it first hand; people are still bringing their whole families to the grocery store and not maintaining a distance from others, etc. makes me really sad, im sure this is going to last way longer than it needs to just because people cant follow directions.

I use overdrive for audiobooks too! Its really useful, plus they sometimes get newer releases there before actually having them in the library so

Alright everyone; March spreadsheets are officially done! I wrote the story; its basic, just a girl walking in on some scandal lol feel free to read it if you would like :) Now its time to move on to April! Last month of Uno :(

Okay yeah, it doesn't have to be just the titles in the story, via the captains chat. I do want to throw that into the box just as a lil bonus though because it is so good Sara lol. I'll type up something longer quick and you guys can nit-pick it for me and tell me how bad it is lmao, maybe we can come to something collectively if any of you are online right now.

I think its supposed to be a story with the words incorporated, not just the titles. Im gonna check and see what other teams are doing because the instructions werent actually very clear.

Hey everyone! Looks like were pretty much done with March, except for my unfinished book haha. Would anybody like to write the story with the book titles for the Mini? Im not creative at all but I can certainly try.

I have a kindle, its okay but it doesnt have access to scribd which is a really cheap way to get ebooks which makes me sad. :)

On the main spreadsheet we need 1 more 1 card lol because I made a mistake, but Im sure that will happen so not too worried about it.

On the MINI however, we still need:
7. Read a book that is tagged (cozy) mystery.
10. Read a book that is tagged sports.
11. Read a book where a character has a dog.
16. Read a book with any kind of ship on the cover.
2. Read a book with a blanket on the cover.

Let me know if you have anything that will work for these; Sha said she had a sports book so if she can read that its covered. I can do the mystery if need be :)

Alright guys; Im gonna work on the spreadsheets this morning. official and unofficial, and see how much more we need. Im also gonna check in with our members who haven't been responding to the group this week to see if they're doing okay and have them update us on our reading; I'll let everyone know what is left when Im done!

Just any book that doesnt work for the other prompts put it there, we’ll figure out something. :)
