When you get a chance, can you add Sable Peak to your UNO shelf?
Thank you!"
Will do. Thanks!

how did you like Yellowface? I've been meaning to read that one. Would you recommend?"
Overall I thought it was a good book. I didn't like the characters, but I don't think you're really supposed to.
My review if you're interested: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Thank you, Nancy!! I haven't held up to any of those things🤣, but I love UNO.

I'm going to reread a few favorite series this year
I'm going to finish some of the series that I started
I'm going to finish series that I started, but got stalled on by going to the beginning and rereading to refresh my memory
I'm going to read a new to me genre or one that I don't read as much
I'm finally going to complete a 50 states challenge
I'm going to read at least one book in my favorite categories that were nominated for GR awards
I'm going to update my individual challenges more often
I'm going to be more selective or not join as many challenges this year
I'm going to read more books, or delete, that have been on my GR TBR for a while
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thank you, Judith and Nanci, for steering our ship.
I'm from Louisiana, where we're actually getting very rare snowfall. I'm married, this year will make 23 years, and we have 4 children, 18-28, so this year will be the year that we become empty nesters until some weekends and college breaks. I also have 4 grandkids (all from my oldest which includes a set of twins) and I have to mention my nephews and niece that also include a set of twins. My sister and my son both have 3 boys and a girl. Her set of twins are the two oldest, and his set is the two youngest.
I told them they must be in a race (they were either trying to catch up with me or they're trying to surpass me 🤣)
As to reading, I mainly read romance, but I will definitely throw in mystery/thriller/suspense, horror, biographies/memoirs, young adult (mainly fantasy), urban fantasy, and a few others.

I’m Phoebe, 24 and relatively new to Goodreads and the group.
This will be my first challenge and I’m looking forward to share the experience with other readers (also to tackle my *m..."
Hi Phoebe. None of my local friends read at all. The only people in my life that do happen to be my daughters and a coworker (and my boss' wife). One of my daughters is into romance novels, but she's still in college and doesn't get to read for pleasure as much, plus she doesn't really talk books. My oldest is an eclectic reader, but she and I tend to discuss books all the time even if it's something that the other doesn't necessarily like. My youngest likes YA, but she has to be in the mood, since she has to do a ton of reading for her English class that she's taking in HS. She's getting ready to graduate and then college, so it may be a while before she's in the reading for fun mood again. 🤣
My mom always says she doesn't know where my love of reading comes from, since I'm the only one out of all of her siblings and their kids that loves to read and have done so since I was a kid.
It's been a running joke in my family since I was a kid that if you're looking for me, I'm probably somewhere with some milk and cookies reading a book. 😂
That still holds true.

📕 Name: Sharon
📕 Team Challenge experience: I feel like I'm an old hand at challenges now - UNO, Whe..."
Good luck decluttering your TBR. I plan this every year and fail, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Team challenge experience: lots of them
Uno before: once, years ago, don't remember it fully
Favorite genres: urban Fantasy, horror, mysteries
Book you can't to read in 2024 - Not sure yet!"
Not sure yet is what I probably should have said.

📕 Team Challenge experience: Tons of experience. They actually really help with my yearly reading goal since I tend to read a bit more than usual while participating in the competitive ones.
📕 Have you joined UNO before? Yes, but I'm not sure when I started. I just know that it's one of the ones I look forward to
📕 Favourite genres: Mainly romance, but I read or will read urban fantasy, mystery/thriller/suspense, bio/memoir, horror, sci-fi, historical, young adult (mainly fantasy)... I guess the one thing I really don't read is Westerns (unless it's a romance set in the west or western themes (cowboy, etc..) ~ this year hoping to branch out into True Crime
📕 Book you can't wait to read in 2024: I've preordered so many that I can't keep them straight, but Karen Marie Moning has a new book coming out later this year The House on Watch Hill (no cover yet) that I'm looking forward to a lot. I've read all of her books (finally finished the Fever series in December after doing a reread throughout 2023) to date. I may start all over again as I have done in the past with The Highlander series. I'm also looking forward to rereading The Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley at some point this year and the rest of her books that I haven't gotten to yet. I just auto buy them and then get behind.
Other books: Completing the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs and her Alpha & Omega series; The Choice by Nora Roberts (several by her actually); Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett; Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (others by her as well) and more
Author's I'm looking forward to reading (either I own several or they're in KU and I didn't read them much or at all in 2023): Kennedy Ryan, Vi Keeland, Dylan Allen, Brittiany C. Cherry, Mia Sheridan, Riley Sager, Devney Perry, Sarina Bowen and the list goes on.
I'm also planning to read more diverse books this year and maybe a little out of my comfort zone to see if I can surprise myself.
I should have just said, Too Many!!!
