8565 Obsession in Death (In Death, #40) by J.D. Robb

Book: Obsession in Death ~ 06.08 ★★★★
# Tags: 93

Review:
Excellent installment. I enjoyed the procedural aspect of this one and it didn't lean too heavily on Eve's baggage. It was there in her continued dreams, but even those have changed over the last few books. I liked how this made Eve take stock of who is in her life, who cares about her and who she cares about. Very much enjoyed this one.

Challenges: Bookopoly
Nomination: police procedural
Prompt 6: DIY (46 new)

8565 Oh boy. Lot's of my challenges this year (not just here in PaS) focus on digging from the bottom of my TBR. So it only makes sense that I'd help myself out here, right... but I also have lots of series that have been abandoned in the middle. Some of these are from way at the bottom but not all of them. Here we go...

Abandoned series books - next in series (not last) with 12+ months since previous book read.

What does it say that I can more than fill my 10 spots with poor abandoned series books?

8565 In Death for me for sure! I have a couple other sci-fi on my TBR but I'm not sure if they're futuristic. I'll have do some research.

8565 Misadventures of a City Girl (Misadventures, #1) by Meredith Wild

Book: Misadventures of a City Girl ~ 05.14 ★★★

Review:
This was okay. I had higher hopes. I thought it would be a fun, funny, full of banter light read - perfect for the times right now. It was light and had it's funny moments but the characters, their development, were just ho-hum. If it were a continuing series I probably wouldn't read the next one.

You have the book cover for one, but the name of another. I can see it would be an easy mistake to make, since one comes right after the other in the series. Can you tell me which it is?"

Sorry I missed this! I read High Heat. Thanks for catching it!

8565 I don't have much at all, surprisingly. I think I'll be lucky to read one -

8565 I managed to only read 4 of the random draws and a couple others not drawn... however the goal was to help with our JRI prompts and it did push me to get a couple of those read sooner than later ;-)

Well, yes. I could try to claim them and use them but I don't know if I'd have enough. Not complaining, it just is what it is.

8565 This is harder that I thought it would be considering we have to use books from our Just Read It lists.... For instance, since I have no Non-fiction on my lists, that leaves out that row/column altogether! Very hard to stop myself from going in search of a book that fits! Glad I already decided not to do blackout...
