8565 Well, I did catch up...and #14 is an Audible book, so no waiting for library holds.

I am currently listening to an audible book (only 66% done), and I only listen when I am in the car, so it may be a bit before I get to this week's book. Good thing it is the last in the game!

What a good idea! I have 8 left to do (am in process of reading one now). And, when I checked my LOST list, I found that 5 of those 8 were published in May and all were added to TBR in June! Thanks for giving me a way to complete LOST sooner. I was starting to despair. LOL

8565 I still have 2 in progress for March. I plan to finish them soon and will count them along with the 9 already completed. Some of those were from the carryover numbers.

My count going into April for carryover is now:
Jan 5
Feb 2
Mar 4

Slowly catching up.

Jayme, I have read some of Diane Mott Davidson's books. Usually a fun and quick read for me.

8565 I have gotten last week's book and will definitely get it read in a day or so. This week's is available and on hold for me at the Augusta library. I plan a run to it today.

I had a blast camping last week. I met a relatively new group of people, felt included, had some alone time to wander at will, and read my fantasy at night. We had rain the first day and high winds the last night. Other than that, it was nice.

Oh, and a herd of deer wandered the campground at dusk and dawn.

8565 Well, I finished Cold Magic for the bonus book while camping...502p!

I still need to get last week's cozy mystery (Agatha Raisin and the Murderous Marriage) from the library. It is in...just need to pick it up.

This week is also a cozy mystery (Catering to Nobody by Diane Mott Davidson), so I should be able to catch up, if it is available from the library.

AND, it is. I should have it within a couple of days.

That is wonderful news. Two issues down, one to go. Has your father already moved? If not, take a deep breath...shoot, even if he has, take a deep breath. I am sure that you have a good support system to assist you...and phone, email work well for contact with the staff to monitor your father's needs. Prayers.
Mar 23, 2022 02:39AM

8565 Wow, Coralie, you are having a tough week! I hope your husband recovers quickly and that things go well for your father. Can you arrange with your library for someone to pick the book up for you?

8565 Finished: Elementary, She Read for BtM March

Starting:
Cold Magic for Blind Date Bonus
The Water Dancer for JRI prompt 2
The Bone Witch for BtM March
Mar 22, 2022 04:07AM

8565 OK...I have The Wasp Factory on loan from the library, and it is due 3/30. BUT, I will renew it and hold it for April, just because (1) this genre (gothic) is not one I am much wanting to read right now and (2) it is a book that I have been avoiding due to the cover. I did find it on the list on page 7.

I will read it for this shelf. That might motivate me to get it done. Also it is relatively short.
Mar 22, 2022 03:58AM

8565 Well, this should be another quick read...Agatha Raisin and the Murderous Marriage by M.C. Beaton (prompt 3 - UK/Scotland).

And, my bonus book has arrived for my hold!

I may not finish either this week, as I am going camping for several days; but both will be quick reads for me when I get back. Behind but quickly remedied.
