I gave this book 4*. It was definitely a "found family" of misfits. I really enjoyed this book, so much that (much as I might cover my eyes during a suspenseful movie) I kept putting it down when one of my favorites was in trouble only to come immediately back to see if they survived!

I've still got 2 and a bit to go so hopefully either this month or next!"
Tien, I noticed that you are starting found. I assume that have finished your last book?

Congrats, Rosemary!

Congrats!"
Thanks! lol, I am really trying to clean up my old challenges this year!"
Michelle, that seems to be a constant in my world. I still have one book for one challenge from last year...but will have lots from this year unless I get in gear!

My Friends recommend shelf has: Klara and the Sun
My Kindle has: The Great Passage and Go
And, I have on my TBR: Pachinko.
I am thinking that I will probably try to read from my Kindle as I have had those books since 2018 and 2019 AND they are short.

I'm Not Scared for BtM and Fifteen
Book of Night for BtM
Reading:
The Lake House Secret for BtM

The Stranger in the Woods: The Extraordinary Story of the Last True Hermit for BtM
Born in Fire for Fifteen

I know that I am not currently playing BtM, but I am treating it as an old challenge and still working on past month's plans.

Meg, 50 is correct but so is my count. I have only read 6 in the actual months that they were due to have been read. All the others were read after the particular month had ended...and thus do not count. Nope...time to stop on this game.

I read Undead and Unemployed and gave it 3.5*.
It was a fun premise...girl dies and comes back to life a couple of times and ends up being the Queen of the Vampires with a King she refuses to accept but is drawn to. So frustratingly impossible that I found myself drawn to it.
She has a job, loves shoes, talks with her mother, but is a vampire and must sleep during the day. She has all the frustrations of being alive yet dead. Oh, and the rest of the vampires do not accept her as queen and some want to kill her!
What an escape from the reality of the world!
I nominate Chick Lit.

And, 44 + June's 7 is 51. No longer do-able for me as I will be camping for 1 week in June.
